Common Reasons Why Learner Work is Referred
Here are a few of the common issues that could lead to your work being referred by your tutor.
To aid your progression through the course, taking these into account will minimise referrals, and therefore delays, while your tutor re-marks your work.
Incorrect Use of Referencing and Citations
You must ensure that you follow Harvard Style referencing and include citations throughout the body of your work as well as a list of references in A-Z order at the end.
Guides are provided
here, and in the
Resources section of your LMS account.
Use of AI or Plagiarism
We have a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to AI and plagiarism usage, which you can read about
here.
Spelling and Grammar
Proofreading your work before submission will prevent your work from being referred for spelling and grammar issues.
We suggest utilising the spell and grammar checker integrated into your browser, which is enabled by default, or alternatively ask a family member or friend to check over your work. The use of Grammarly is not permitted due to its recent features that promote AI usage.
As we are a UK-based course provider, the use of American spellings is not acceptable, so please ensure your spell-check language is set to British English
If you would like to query the feedback you've received from your tutor, you can
contact them using the Messages section in your LMS account.
