Extending Your Course

Extending Your Course

Course Extensions Explained

In your LMS account (under My Courses), you will see your end of support date for each of your courses:

End of support date shown in LMS

If your support period has expired and you have not completed your course, you may be able to extend your course.

You can only request an extension if:

  • Your course is eligible for extensions (see below)
  • Your support period has expired, or you have fewer than 5 days remaining
  • You have paid for your course in full, or have no outstanding balance on your payment plan

Extensions are charged at £59.50 per month and auto-renew monthly until you complete the course or ask us to stop them.

Check if Extensions Are Available for Your Course

Extensions are not available for your course if either of the following apply:

  • You are studying an NCFE CACHE or TQUK accredited course (how to check) and you enrolled on or after 1st January 2026
  • You are studying the Adult Care Level 3 course (how to check)

In both cases, your course will expire on the date shown in your LMS account (under My Courses).

If neither of the above applies to you, you may be eligible for an extension, though this is not guaranteed.

How to Request a Course Extension

You can request a course extension by selecting “I want to extend my course” via Chat Support ( what is Chat Support? ).

Info

Important: Course extensions are not guaranteed and may not be available for your course.

What Happens if You Cannot Extend Your Course?

If, for the reasons explained in this article, you are unable to extend your course, the only available option is to re-enrol on the course.

This requires paying the course fees again and starting from the beginning, with all units resubmitted and assessed again (in some cases you may be able to reuse some work you have previously submitted).

If You Are Studying the Adult Care Level 3 Diploma

If you are studying the Adult Care Level 3 course (qualification numbers 610/0103/6 or 610/0498/4) and have exceeded your course expiry date, you will need to enrol on the newer version of the qualification and restart the course from the beginning.

Please note: While you can access your past work and may reuse some elements, the updated course units are not directly transferable, and all submissions must meet the new specification.

The new version of the Adult Care Level 3 course also has different requirements. In particular, you will now need a designated workplace assessor. For full details, please visit the course page: Adult Care Diploma Level 3 (RQF)
