What’s the Difference Between an Endorsed Certification and a Full Qualification?

When browsing courses, you’ll see some are listed as full qualifications and others as endorsed certifications.

Both offer valuable learning opportunities, but there are important differences to be aware of.

Full qualifications are courses that appear on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications. They are assigned a formal level, such as Level 2 or Level 3, and are widely accepted by employers, training providers, and educational institutions, making them a good choice if you need formal recognition for employment or further study.

Endorsed certifications, while not regulated by Ofqual, are still accredited by a professional awarding body and are perfect for personal or professional development, especially if you’re looking to build confidence, learn new skills in a specific subject area, and enhance your CV.
